Chef Spotlight: Daniel Lucci

If you’ve ever wondered how on Earth such a delicious combination of menu items culminated, look no further. Daniel Lucci is the culinary genius behind LUHV’s flavorful and nutritious menu. With more than 40 years of experience under his belt, Daniel ensures each item at LUHV has been carefully crafted with the environment, animal rights, and your health in mind.


Daniel began his entrepreneurial journey at just 20 years old, opening his first restaurant “Dessoir” in Argentina. Inspired my his mother who was also an excellent chef, Daniel created a cozy takeout restaurant that served up fresh homemade pasta and an array of sauces that would eventually inspire later endeavors.


In the late 1990s, Daniel moved to the U.S. and made his way around the restaurant circuit of the Northeast. Notably working as a head chef for restaurants in New Jersey, Virginia, Washington D.C., and finally Pennsylvania. In 1997, he settled in the keystone state and began another restaurant “Cafe Con Leche” located in Newtown, Pennsylvania. This American-style concept serves up cuisines with an Argentinian twist and a hint of Italian flare. 


After his wife Silvia started experiencing health problems, Daniel discovered how adapting the vegan lifestyle could heal his family. He’s used his years of experience and passion for the art of cooking to create the menu we’ve come to know and LUHV (See what we did there?). We hope you share the love that goes into every bite of our food and enjoyed getting to know the story behind our genius chef!
