FAQ
Is everything really vegan?
Yes! All of the ingredients that we use and all of the food we serve are 100% vegan.
Is everything Gluten free?
Most of our products with the exception of desserts, seitan and chick’n are or could be made gluten free. We do not produce our food in a dedicated gluten free facility.
Are there nuts in your products?
Our products do not contain nuts. But the sources of our ingredients are not guaranteed to be made in nut-free facilities. Many of our products do contain coconut amino acids.
are luhv products soy free?
Most of our items are not made with soy. Meals can easily be made soy free in most cases by substituting the bread. A common favorite is the black bean burger over top of our spicy superfood salad. We do not produce our food in a soy free facility.
What do you use as meat substitutes?
We use a flavorful blend of spices paired with a variety of substitutes. Namely, beans and legumes, and sometimes soy or wheat gluten.
how do you source your ingredients?
It’s important for us to source locally and organically for as many of our products as possible. Sustainability and ethicality are virtues we strive to uphold. Our produce comes from local farms when possible and ingredients that are not raw come from brands we know personally and love to use at home, too.
are your takeout containers compostable?
Yes, we love composting! All of our products are packaged to go in 100% compostable containers (cups, utensils, and all!) so we can reduce our impact on landfills and help to minimize waste. Check back soon to see how we’re sourcing sustainable packaging for our frozen goods!
do you offer catering?

What’s the difference between vegan and vegetarian?
Vegetarianism is the exclusion of meat and sometimes fish (depending on personal preferences). Vegetarians tend to consume eggs, milk, and other dairy-related products. Veganism is the strict exclusion of all products and bi-products of an animal. The vegan diet omits food like honey, cheese, butter, gelatin, and all meats, including fish and insects.
